Judge Jonathan 2005 - Your Help Needed

Happy new year!

Judge Jonathan is back from some well-deserved holidays in the Middle East, and is ready to get right back to business with this weblog here.

Some have already noticed that I have taken out a second blogspot, erm, spot, so I won't bother trying to hide it. Instead, let me tell you what my plans are and ask for some advice. Of course, those who help will be rewarded.

So here's the idea for 2005: "Judge Jonathan's Top Fives". A weekly (I know, I'm not being very optimistic here) publication of all kinds of top five lists, accompanied by the witty, smart, intelligent remarks a judge like me is known to provide, of course.

Pro: This might make for a more interesting and, in the end, popular weblog - as 'topical' blogs seem to be more attractive than general ones.
Con: Limiting the weblog to top five lists would exclude many things I could otherwise enlighten/bore the world with. Specifically, making political comments, something I'd like to do a bit more, would be quite hard, or simply time-consuming.

So this is where you come in. Give me your opinions and thoughts on the matter, tell me what you'd prefer, if you have other ideas etc. This is writer-reader interaction at its best. The reward I mentioned: I have some Gmail invites waiting for you - and only a limited number, so give me those comments :) Just make sure to provide me with an email address in the comment, or send it to uuhueregeil-at-yahoo.co.uk (not kidding).

P.S. RSS feed- sounds interesting, only that I don't have a clue how to do it... help?

Well, rather than discuss the pro's and con's abstractly, give it a go and we'll discuss once you've produced the first couple of hit parades! And never mind my snide departing shot: Reminds me of the last issue of Weltwoche ...

Re RSS: nomen est omen, so it's really simple. I did it. Check out more here. I am using Feedburner myself, btw. Good luck!

Thanks! As you can see, I've put up the first top five...

So - interested in that Gmail account? Let me know.

Oh, by all means - thanks very much!

Managed the feed, yet? (kinda rhetorical question, I know ;)
